Today’s Holy Nougat is an encouragement to m. I hope it resonates with you.
“For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.” Colossians 1:27 NLT
Hear the good news: no one of us is too far from God’s mercy. Not the prisoner beside Jesus, not you, not me. We don’t have the copyright, nor are we authorized to do so. What we are authorized to do, is share the Good News with others.
And the Good News is, upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord, Christ lives in us..
It is that simple
For, if Jesus lives within; there’s going to be a visible lifestyle shift. It may be barely discernible to others, but there ought to be shift. And, if there’s no change, then Who better to effect the surgery within our spirits than Jesus?! Even if we’re in a spiritual rut;
What then is the way forward? Examining ourselves to ensure that the Hope of glory is in us. Then invite Jesus, our Hope of glory, to make all the changes – one habit at a time. And we keep Jesus welcome by maintaining the relationship through conversations (prayer and praise) and spending time together (reading God’s Word). The rest is easier when those are sorted.
May our Jesus encounter be transformational for us all now and always.
