Hi
Ever been at the end of your rope? Consider today’s Holy Nougat
“he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.” Psalms 23:3 NRSV
A wonderful place to be, especially after a season of repentance and confession. A place where we go in haggard, disillusioned, dried up or burned out and depart fresh, inspired, and even motivated for the tasks ahead. That is one form of restoration.
Another facet of soul restoration is when God tale our soul back to where God was our priority. Remember the promise … I will give you a heart of flesh …? When it is God’s Spirit handling our heart restoration,
we are assured that God’s faithfulness will sustain us. But let’s remember that any job of restoration is timely and often tedious. (It’s good that we aren’t restoring our own lives!)
Having refreshed us, God’s Spirit also guides us to places where God’s holiness and perfect will meet. If we choose to be led, we can reap powerful spiritual rewards.
All these and more are guaranteed to us when we yield to God’s leading like sheep to our shepherd. Especially when we are close to, or at the end of our rope.
May we each experience the fullness of divine restoration through Christ.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
