Hello dear
Please forgive the erratic post schedule – I’ve been a bit busier than usual. But hopefully we resume our regular schedule next week.
As I write this, I have already processed several life stories related to violence against women and children. One such story was from Judges 19. It is a story of oppression and wanton violence. It is hard hitting and makes most uncomfortable. The end of the chapter provides the basis for today’s Holy Nougat
“Everyone who saw it said, “Such a horrible crime has not been committed in all the time since Israel left Egypt. Think about it! What are we going to do? Who’s going to speak up?”” Judges 19:30 NLT
I’ve led and participated in several Bible studies on this nougat; but only noticed the last three instructions recently.
Think
Do
Speak
We are called
to be conscious of the atrocities taking place around us
To be active in using our influence in effecting change
To speak out against evil
For it is only in our willingness to think do speak differently that some systems of oppression and cycles of violence.
The world is in need of transformation. Will we help?
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
