Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said, “Tell him to come here.” So they called the blind man. “Cheer up,” they said. “Come on, he’s calling you!” Mark 10:49 NLT
Jesus HEARD the blind man. He didn’t hear about him. Mind you, the man had been blind for a while; he probably had even been praying for his own healing for a while. We suspect that he was down to nothing. He was definitely not with the ‘in’ crowd anymore.
He cried out to Jesus. A cry of desperation. A cry of intentionality. A cry that reached the ear of Jesus and moved the heart of God.
Jesus heard THAT cry!
Jesus hears OUR cries!
We might not be blind in the literal sense, but we might be desperate for our breakthrough. Jesus is in our town right now.
Cry out! Jesus Christ is listening for someone’s desperate, intentional cry!
Cry out! Even if the world is trying to silence you (you the one who needs the miracle).
Cry out! This crowd member’s got you and is crying out with and for you.
Cheer up! Jesus Christ is calling you.
Cheer up! The world which held you back is releasing you and offering support!
Cheer up! Your breakthrough is here in the name of Jesus!
