Recently, many around me have been inundated with … stuff. Life happened, and some scarcely managed to scrape through. But, there is a way
Here’s your Holy Nougat for today.
And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of his companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian character, and set forth in the Syrian tongue. Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this sort: Ezra 4:7-8
A quick translation of the names presents a very interesting read to the text; viz: “With Peace”, “Breaking the Law”, and “Good is God” sent a missive to the Righteous Ruler of Persia. They were joined by Compassion and the Sun/Son in launching a strategic complaint against the children of Israel.
When peace is manipulated by the enemy to the extent that law is not upheld, despite masquerading as a partner with peace; then anarchy is quite feasible.
What do we do when our world is torn asunder by war – and we are the undesirable refugee seeking asylum in a strange land which does not reflect our culture? Or when we are wed to someone older than our parents for the sake of their survival? Or when the life blood of a family member is drained prematurely – at their own hands, or in reprisal for acts of violence they did not commit? Or when the fabric of our family relationships is ripped asunder by perceived betrayal? Or when we are one breath short of losing it entirely – homeless, almost hopeless – and it seems no one is in our corner? Or when the bills, illness, (un)employment, barrenness and bitterness seem to have conspired for our ruin? What do we do, really?

Keep calm and remember our true identity in Christ Jesus.
Keep calm and remember who is on OUR side.
Keep calm and remember that weapons WILL be formed, but they will not prosper.
Keep calm and remember that the God who worked things out in the past is STILL GOD in this present.
Keep calm and remember to breathe as God is exalted though our praise
