Yesterday I was at a store with a friend and her granddaughter. I had wandered off and soon needed to reconnect. When I returned they were already searching: for me. So up and down the aisle I went, calling out as I walked.
I called out expecting to be recognized and followed. And my expectations were justified. We soon reconnected and resumed shopping.
It’s the same expectations God has. God knows that those who are the called have established a relationship and have, for the most part., evolved from “a voice told me” to a willingness to name and claim the voice of the Lord speaking to us.
Sometimes, the voice is distinct, but at others, it is a knowing. Usually God speaks in a manner that enhances or reflects God’s word.
