Hello my dears
My heart goes out to our sisters and brothers in Mexico and the Philippines as they recover from monster hurricane and typhoons. We pray strength for the survivors and integrity for their leaders in addressing the needs of the people at this time.
Here’s today’s nougat
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight o Lord; my Strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19.14
Isn’t it a bit strange to desire to adjust one’s lifestyle for a savior? Perhaps. But then; it’s also a matter of who and what one is saved from.
When the savior is the One who rescues us from present danger and eternal death; hmmm – yes. When the savior is the One who created us; that’s another great reason. And when the savior is THE Wind beneath our wings, most definitely.
When you have a moment, perhaps you might ponder what damage a hurricane or typhoons could do. Or perhaps think about any of the terminal illnesses which have visited your family In the past and have been kept there simply by God’s grace. Those are but some of what we’ve been redeemed from. The hardships we’ve overcome (Or worse yet still undergo) can only be transformed to positives through God’s grace.
Good enough reason to count the cost and fly right. Right? Not as easy in the reality aspect of it tho. For though we may often claim forgiveness; life doesn’t come with an edit button like our device screens or the movies. And sometimes it feels easier to sin and seek God’s grace after.
But knowing what we know about WHO saved us from ourselves, we pray
Lord transform my thoughts and my heart – for it is out of the heart that the mouth speaks. And may the transformation line up with Your will; even when my flesh and spirit seek to do otherwise. Amen
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
