What a joy it is too know my heavenly Father loves me so he gives to me my Jesus …

Hello,

Have you considered the implications of those words?

Here’s today’s nougat

For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. John 12.45

As Jesus chided the Pharisees and teachers of the Law, he reiterated the reality that he was God’s ambassador as well as God’s son. Remember, an ambassador is the legal and political representative of a nation. S/he usually carries the authority of the highest ranking official in the country of origin, carrying the seal of approval to make decisions (under advisement) on behalf of the country. Essentially, when you see an ambassador away from home, you are seeing the head of state.

When we see Jesus, we’re seeing the one who sent him.

But here’s a thought (a worrisome note, even); when we accept Jesus into our lives, we also take on the role of heaven’s ambassadors … you know – royal priesthood, holy nation … greater things we shall do … our citizenship is In heaven – there’s a few scriptures which suggest that.

The worrisome question is, are others aware of our heavenly citizenship? Can they make us out as ambassadors from our actions, or are we heavily incognito? Can others see the One who sends us (as sheep among wolves) and provides diplomatic protection/security detail through angels (lest we dash or feet against the stone) based on our actions? If we’re known by our fruit, have we been effective?

Is it true then that when others see me, they see the One who sends me? Why/not

I wonder have I done my best for Jesus when he has done so much for me 󾠔

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
