What a ministry, Jesus’s came to offer abundant life and instead of being associated and warmly welcomed, he is faced with threats of punishment from those who would have him conform.
Conviction is extremely important in ensuring that we complete the work assigned us by God. On the days when we feel alone, when our lives and livelihood is threatened, when we’re run out of town, when everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong (PLUS TAX), it is the knowledge that we are where God wants us that will help us to keep going. And even then … (Remember Jonah tried to run away, and John the Baptist needed a little reassurance)
Of course, there’s that little detail of knowing our purpose. For if we are not aligned to God’s purpose for us, then it could be a tad problematic.
What has God called you to do? Does your conviction line up with God’s word? Have you added God’s confirmation/affirmation in this?
Tale heart, for so persecuted they the prophets … so crucified us our Savior. Remember, the hotter the battle, the sweeter the victory.
