Trusting that your work week has been glorious and the weekend (also aseason of work for many), is filed with promise for rest and restoration.
Today’s nougat June 5
For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be heard, faith is null and the promise is void. Rom 4:14
This nougat may have been hard for the Romans to swallow, yet offers so much grace. For, if obedience to the law was the ticket to salvation/every into heaven; many would have had some serious challenges. It’s not that we or the Romans now ignore the law … but it is that we make a CHOICE to accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Further, the “Rule of Law”, only guaranteed a space in heaven for God’s specially chosen peoples, the Jews. But, like many of us, legalism was second nature to the Romans. And they probably couldn’t see themselves being worthy of entry and access into God’s glory.
But, by internalizing the text and grace of Jesus’s conversation with Nicodemus, we come to the realisation that abundant living is accessible to ALL of us … if we are willing, through FAITH, to receive it.
Let’s opt for validating the promise of God. Let us CHOOSE to believe that access to God’s grace is for real, to believe that Jesus offers us the promise of eternal life. Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus.
