Nougat 9

Dear Lord

We are poised expectantly at the dawn of a momentous occasion. Not the recognition of your birth, but the awareness and acceptance of your call to radical life transforming ministry. It’s going to take guts Lord, the kind that mobilised Mary to say ‘be it into me according to THY will’, knowing that we’re sounding the Esther battle cry, “If I perish, I perish”. It’s going to call for a separation Lord, similar to Elizabeth removing herself from the public sphere as time for delivery drew nesrer. It’s going to defy the odds Lord, so much so that even with divine preparation, we might think it fantastic, and run the risk of unbelief like Zecharias did.

But with your preparation, your provision, your purposing, we just might be worth of this call to birth something new and wonderful in our lives. Cleanse us as we offer ourselves to be emptied, and fill us with your compassion, power and love.

Be magnified dear Lord we pray, in Jesus’s name, amen.
