Greetings my dears,
Thank you for meditating on the Word with me. Real gourmet delights are to be found in God’s Word, if only we make the time to meditate – which I am confident many of us do.
Here’s today’s nougat
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9.6
Before we reflect upon the names of the Child, let’s continue to celebrate God’s love then and now. A love so deep that in the midst of the world’s sin problem, the Solution was provided.
For, some hundreds of years post-prophecy, the Solution reminds us that God owes no debt. God’s timing and ways are very different from ours; but God still remains true. God’s solution to our own, and by extension other people’s, issues may even lie within us and may just be awaiting the fulness of God’s time.
Perhaps this is our moment.
May we find the willingness to continue meditating on God’s Word (our Holy Nougats) allowing the message of Christ’s birth to transform our situations.
