Hi there,

Have you ever had a moment of procrastination; trying to decide whether to do or not; when decisiveness was the better way? Consider today’s Holy Nougat™️

“Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.” Luke‬ ‭8:44‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The woman was desperate. Her options had run out.

But that was Jesus, The Messiah. No one just went up behind Him deliberately to sneak their healing.

She did!

She counted the cost; and did what she had to do. Indecisiveness could have been the difference between remaining in her dis-ease or walking in fullness of life. A no brainer, right?!

And yes, desperate times called for desperate measures; but how many of us who are intimates with Christ are willing to ask Jesus for what we need directly? And, having asked, how soon do we act on what we received?

I know, I know … it’s not so cut and dry. For we have to know for certain that it’s time to do; and that we don’t get ahead of ourselves. That is crucial. Nevertheless, what’s equally critical is our willingness to trust that the gift we requested is operational.

Not with fanfare and speeches; it’s neither a circus nor a political rally. But with the quiet expectation that God has already started the good work within us and will see us through.

It might be going out on a limb, but perhaps we could NOT second-guess God and ourselves sometimes. We don’t sneakily appropriate another’s gift or status like the sons of Sceva. But we walk in the confidence of purpose to which we each have been called as led by God’s Spirit.

Doable? Definitely.

No need for procrastination.
