Nougat 15

Oftentimes we refer to Faith as substance; but what about seeing Faith as a State of Being in Christ? Consider today’s Holy Nougat

“There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Having established and accepted the Lordship (sovereignty) of Jesus, which was and forever is, we recognize that ALL those who do likewise are members of One Faith. That is; Belief (Faith) in Jesus Christ. This is the faith described in Romans 10; the kind we confess as a result of our deep conviction.

Again I feel that we MUST revert to verse 2, which says we live our faith “with complete humility and gentleness, with patience, putting up with one another in love …” I believe that it is grievous to our One Lord to hear how we speak against each other IN this One Faith. We can and will disagree; but when we do, we need to be more mindful of How we describe ourselves in the public arena.

For our description of ‘Them’; whether far-left or far-right or somewhere in the middle; is actually a description of Ourselves ; when Them belong to our One Faith under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Remember Galatians 3:28-29: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for WE are all one in Messiah Yeshua. And if WE belong to Messiah, then WE are Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise.”? That still applies. (Now unpacking that; that’s for another day). As fellow citizens in this One Faith; our loyalty is to Christ and the extent of His sovereignty.

This doesn’t mean that we always Like each other. But IN Christ’s Love, we can agree to disagree and keep the fight off social and other media. And, through our lived demonstration of Christ-Love; we walk worthily into our calling.

Lord, grant Your anointing on us to keep the harsh invectives away from social media and to place each other in Your care when we cannot see eye to eye. We crave Your forgiveness for those times we did not. Help us to forgive others and ourselves who don’t grasp the Faith in the way we do; and to recognize that You WILL separate sheep from goats. Help us to be true to this One Faith to which You have called us; recognizing Your Sovereignty and our varied roles therein. May Your will be done IN and THROUGH us now, as though we are already in Heaven we pray dear Y’shua amen.
