Dear Jesus

You call us to access the treasury of Heaven by being open to support those in need. Lord, help us to have an open palm instead of a closed fist. For we have the assurance that You will supply our every single need. And we know that You call us to reflect Your generosity wherever we are. Remind us that this treasure is not naturally quantifiable; and that we don’t have to worry about stocks crashing or getting destroyed.

Tune our ears to You so that we might hear You clearly. Give us wisdom Lord, guide us in ensuring that we give to the right persons. Lord, grant that we neither get haughty in thinking that we have it all; nor get overwhelmed by what feels like our lack. The truth is Lord; we DO have an unlimited Source for our needs in You, and so we have freedom to give to others from Your bounty. And when we give, we know it comes back in many forms; pressed down, shaken together and overflowing.

We also ask for a change in perspective so we live like persons who know our supply – material, financial, emotional AND spiritual – have already been met. In so doing; may we also remember that while we have access to Your resources; operatively, nothing we have is truly our own. It is all Yours. Hence we give to others as an offering back to You.
