Receive today’s Holy Nougat
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:8 NLT
The reflection today is straightforward: we precious! To God, to others including me. And we cannot allow ourselves to be convinced otherwise. For some of us, we were mis-led by what’s trending around us, rather than being led by fact that for God, we’re always treating.
So let’s let that soak in for a little – when God sees us, even when our actions are disappoin-ting, God’s heart does a happy dance kind of trending. Additionally we know that God follows us, whether we’re on social media or not. Yes, we (me and you) are that precious to God.
You are also precious to me, as readers – participants in this devotional, it gives me joy to think of you. Interestingly, I don’t know each of you personally but you are precious to me. I value your willingness to take the time to read, reflect, recommit and reach out to others based on this devotional. I also recognize that God gave each of you to me, and I’m truly grateful for the gift of each of you.
So what next?
Now we know we have worth, we must ensure that wherever we are, we add value. God’s value. We can make our presence count in the spaces it matters most. Like helping others know that they’re precious too, or using our gifts and talents to be the difference that our world needs. If you haven’t begun, it’s not too late. We might be the agent of transformation that one person needs as a reminder that God loves them.
