Nougat 12

We’ve got insider information!

Jesus provides an insight on what is happening in these times, not in exact specificities, but enough for us to help us discern the times. As one who was raised in a hurricane zone, I know that while I may not have the exact details of where and when a storm might hit, I prepare based on the information I have. And, because I know the signs, I act when I see them. That’s the kind of insider knowledge we have – enough to keep us prepared when life goes awry.

And we also realize that if Jesus provided the insights way back when, then when it comes to pass, it is not really any one person’s fault. So though one person may be the chief source of the challenge we face, they may simply be pawns in the enemy’s bigger picture.

Moreover we have the antidote to the trials faced. Yes we do. Jesus guaranteed the way out: Jesus Christ Himself. So when trials come – and they will – we remember that Jesus not only warned us about them, but He provided the solution. We know that if Jesus has overcome this world and its issues; then it is well. For, it also means that Jesus has overcome our problems. By focusing on Jesus amidst the trials, we can prevail over whatever circumstance.

And therein lies the peace!

In the knowledge that no matter what we face, Jesus is with us and is not worried about the outcome. This strengthens our resolve – to see the issues and know they can’t destroy our faith. So let’s shift our focus to the One Who is able to keep us and to prevent us from falling, while presenting us as unblemished in God’s presence (Jude 1). We’ve got inside knowledge, we’ve got Jesus – we’ve got enough!
