Nougat 22

I love getting gifts, how about you? What if there is a gift offered to us that we’ve not quite accepted yet? Consider today’s Holy Nougat

““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Yes! Peace is a gift from God. Obviously, it’s not Peace that is the absence of war – those seem to continue unabated. Rather this Peace is about what happens to us on the inside, especially when trouble comes rearing its undesirable self to us.

What is interesting with the gift of Peace is that it comes with no strings attached, yet very few of us have accepted it. I kid you not! As one who’s been guilty of ignoring this precious marvelous gift I’m telling you, we need this Peace and we need Peace now!

So, let’s set about getting God’s Peace Gift. I believe that we simply need to tell the Lord that we need God’s Peace now. Yes it’s as simple as that. Then (and perhaps we can eliminate the first step), we simply walk in the Peace as ones who are aware that it’s already ours. Because it is. For, regardless of the situation or where we are, God’s Peace is ours for the taking.

Lord,

Thanks for the gift of Your Peace. I receive it with thanksgiving and am using it as of now. Take over our every action and infuse each with Your Peace – of mind and spirit. Now, with me walking in Your Peace, may I serve You with joy and gladness. Amen
