Nougat 25

Have you ever considered yourself as one in whom God’s Spirit dwells? If yes, are others aware that God’s Spirit is within and with you? And, more critically, how are you using your spiritual gifts? Please allow these questions to sit with us as we consider Today’s Holy Nougat

Acts 2:17a, 19 NIV‬

[17] “ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people …

[19] I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.

God’s Spirit Poured out WITH Signs

Many of us have already seen/begun to witness the wonders in the heavenlies. Of course, modern or rather post-modern science can explain most of them away to climate change/crisis or other evolutionary developments. And they are correct. There is a scientific explanation for eclipses, ‘blood moons’, increased disasters, etc.. Some explanations are even human. Us humans created and misused these things/situations that triggered flooding, droughts, and tsunamis, and now we, and generations to come, live with the consequences. I believe that those still point to God, as this was predicted long before technology was even considered a word. So these things indicate that God knew this end at the beginning, which is what God revealed to Joel and Peter.

So if that part of God’s word came to pass, those heavenly wonders, are we in the ‘last days’? If so, then are we manifesting the signs? (I am not saying you are not. This is a question for all of us to ponder. If it doesn’t apply, pray for the ones who are not). For the disciples gathered in that day were all recipients of the outpouring of God’s Spirit – They all spoke in tongues, and they all had the cloven tongues of fire resting above them.

There was no record of God’s Spirit discriminating against any of them. Yes, there was one leader, but the anointing was for all and upon all. So each of us – yes, you and me – are eligible to manifest the gifts of God’s Spirit in these days. Siblings, we are called – from as far as God designed this season – to be the demonstrators of God’s signs on the earth.

It wasn’t a season just for Peter and the apostles. Gifts are being manifested all over the world, and several of them are clearly counterfeit. People are flocking those signs, filled with wonder at the manifestations. If we, for a moment, suspect that some are counterfeit, and I do, then we know there’s a real deal somewhere. We have a responsibility to be God’s real deal.

May the wonders in the heavenly realms be accompanied by signs evident in our lives. I pray God’s Spirit feels and manifests richly in each of us today and always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
