Blessed New Work Week to you all. May it be profitable and filed with reminders of God’s love.
Here’s today’s nougat
I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Before you we born, I set you apart and appointed you to be MY prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
Having re-read this passage, it is easy to hear the psalmist responding, ‘such knowledge is too wonderful for me.’ Without a doubt, this verse, when applied to our lives insists that WE ARE NO ACCIDENTS of nature.
This is a reminder from God that each of us is special. Known to God, inside and out. Truly, such knowledge is wonderful to have.
On those days when life tells us we are less than, remember, God knew us before we were born.
On those days when the world attempts to tell us who we are, remember, God set each of us apart (made us unique) BEFORE our birth and loved us so much.
And when we’re feeling insignificant, let’s think about how tiny a speck it takes to put us together. Remember that even as a really tiny speck, we were significant enough for God to know us (and possibly even determine our names).
So, whatever this week has to offer, Lord I bless You for knowing each of us and affirming our value to You. Help us do more than just survive this week, help us LIVE as if who we are really matters. Because come to think of it … we do. To You and countless others. May we affirm others along the way we pray, in Jesus’s name, amen.
